Overview

The 2010 GMC Sierra Hybrid is a 5- or 6-passenger full-size pickup truck known for its power, strong capacities and fuel economy. The Sierra Hybrid is offered in the Crew Cab body style on both 2WD and 4WD models and each model is equipped with several standard, popular features.

Power and performance

The Sierra Hybrid achieves 40-percent greater city fuel economy and a 25-percent improvement in overall fuel economy than non-hybrid models. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for both 2WD and 4WD models is 21 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. The Sierra Hybrid yields a cruising range of more than 500 miles with the 26-gallon (98 L) fuel tank. General Motors' patented two-mode hybrid system and a powerful 6.0L gas V-8 engine in the Sierra Hybrid deliver a highly efficient performance, including all-electric driving up to 30 mph (48 km/h). Its maximum towing capacity stands at 6,100-pound (2,767 kg).

Dual-zone automatic climate control with individual climate settings for driver and right-front passenger, new Audio system with Navigation, AM/FM stereo with MP3 compatible CD player and navigation with voice prompts, seek-and-scan, digital clock, auto-tone control, (USR) USB port, Radio Data System (RDS), speed-compensated volume and TheftLock, electronic cruise control with set and resume speed, rearview camera system (Optional), premium cloth and leather appointed front seats, rear full-width folding bench seat for 3-passengers (includes child seat top tether anchor), leather-wrapped steering wheel with theft-deterrent locking feature and mounted audio controls and available power sunroof are some of important comfort and convenience features.

Safety Features

The 2010 GMC Sierra Hybrid Crew Cab models come standard with StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, a locking rear axle and a trailering package. Dual-stage frontal air bags and head curtain side air bags are also offered. More importantly it is the only full-size truck with five-star side-impact ratings in federal crash tests.
